Review: Sometimes a straightforward approach is the best and the Kamikaze Space Programme version of "Ray's House" shows that this is true. Based around a jacking rhythm and a repetitive vocal sample, these two elements are more effective than a truck full of 'advanced sound design' techno. The Unbalance version is also straightforward; opting for a stepping rhythm, its shaking percussion and reflective vocal samples make for an accomplished deeper take. At the other end of the spectrum is Mattias Fridell's version of "Section Zero". Remaining true to his production form, he unleashes a thumping, rolling groove littered with spaced out chords. Finally, the Ness take on "Vaporized" uses chiming bells and a pulsing bass to create a Sandwell-esque experience.

Review: Feral offers club techno with real depth and texture. The Joel Alter version of "There You Go" features storming beats and insistent vocal snatches, but it also evolves to include a sensuous chord progression and an infectious vocal sample. Alland Byallo's take on "Rolling Energy" also has reflective qualities thanks to its sensuous chords, but the heavy bass and rolling groove prime it for the floor. Markus Suckut's take on "There You Go" meanwhile is stripped back and stepping, its heavy bass and hissing percussion the focus of all the action. But depth is never far away on this release and John Osborn's remix of "Rolling Energy" is a droning, multi-layered affair.

Review: Having made his debut on Prime Numbers earlier this year with his titular contribution to a split release alongside Truss and Massimo De Lena, Adesse is granted a full release with this all killer no filler Untitled Love EP. For someone who came to the fore with a version of Theo Parrish's "Sky Walking, it's unsurprising that the title track here has a rugged charm reminiscent of the outspoken Sound Signature boss - it's all about that thumping snare son! Meanwhile "Supernal" veers into deep steppers territory and contains some ingenious looping of a Laurie Anderson standard, whilst "Metachemistry" highlights Adesse's talent for loose, freeform arrangements.
