Can you talk about some of the most significant collaborations or partnerships that have shaped the label's growth and identity?
Our first release was picked up by Toolroom Records for a third party compilation which was unexpected. We went on to continue releasing singles until we released Ash Reynolds first album - Lessons in 2016. One of the tracks 'Embrace' was picked up by Fashion brand Lipsey for a Flyer East advertising campaign for her exclusive range. Chuggin Edits joined the label circa 2018 and we continued to release singles and also compilations. Some key artist on the label are Jean Jaques Smoothie, Mr Doris, The Owl, Paul Olde and Vigi.
As Slightly Transform celebrates its 10-year anniversary, can you share the journey of how the label started and what inspired its creation?
I (Ash) started the label in 2014 just on the basis of being in control of my own works and it was generally meant for just my own releases but then I wanted the label to grow and create more of a network, get others involved which I thought would be more interesting to push the music in our scene. Chuggs agreed to join after we worked together on a few tracks and we seemed to work well as a team. Chuggs brought a whole host of artists to the label and we haven't looked back.
If you could go back 10 years and give yourself one piece of advice at the start of Slightly Transform, what would it be?
I would suggest to remain consistent and not worry about the outcome of a release. I find if a track is going to do well sometimes it just happens in an unexpected scenario.
What are some of the most memorable moments or milestones for the label over the last 10 years?
Pretty much as mentioned above. Tracks being picked up by the big guns in the dance music world. Tracks being picked up for syncing and hitting the bigger streaming numbers. Hitting the top charts on Juno is always a great milestone.
Out of all the releases from the past 10 years, are there any that hold a special place in your heart or represent a turning point for the label?
Ash Reynolds & Chuggin Edits - Smooth. This track hit a few million streams and then we started to get a bit of notice for collaborations and what not. We had other artists coming to us asking how but sometimes it's just timing and luck rather than what or who you know. Also a having a half decent tune counts. The track also brought myself and Chuggs together to where we are now.
As you look to the future, what are your goals and visions for the next decade of Slightly Transform? Any upcoming projects or directions you’re excited about?
We took a break in the past two years so moving forward I'd like to see some consistent releases but with a smaller team of selected artists who are associated directly with the label. Not locked to a contract but a team that works with us that we know produces at a quality level. As we took a break our focus is now on re-building but we've recently hit No.1 on the Juno disco page so seems we have carried on from where we left off. Personally I'd like to see more original material and less heavily sampled tracks. Our sub-label Slightly Deeper may be the way forward for that as main label has a certain following as such.

Our first track to hit a million streams and also the track the brought Chuggin Edits to the label.
The next track to hit a million streams.
One of the first tracks we gave away for free in 2014 to get the label up and started.
Our first official release.
This tracked kicked off our sub-label Slightly Deeper for all things Deep House.
Having Jean on the label was massive for us considering his back catalogue of tracks especially the ever popular Two People.
All round great guy Larry A.K.A Get To Know is a please to have on the label. An excellent DJ and even greater producer and mixing engineer.
Another track to hit half million streams.
Great guy, great music and we've seen him grow massively since he first joined our label. All his own work and not down to us to confirm.
Another great guy and artist who is growing stronger and stronger.
