Review: Next up from the Bass Machine team, a tidy collection of remixes from Mutca, who gets busy reworking the soulful sounds of 'Fyah Inna Babylon' from Rastabeli MC, DJahman Sema & Ras Orchestra. First up, the Speed Garage mix, a pulsating sweep through larger-than-life bass pumps and vibrant LFO action, followed by the assigned dub version to match, focussing less on vocals and just the newly created instrumental. From here, the new garage mix, focusing on a sunlit combination of tidy chord progressions and slightly slower drum work, again accompanied by the follow up dub version. A very tasty pairing if you ask us!

Review: Next up on Strange Times, a very enjoyable outing indeed as they welcome the enigmatic garage influences of Red Pal inside, unloading four subtle, yet smokey originals. We begin our dive into this with a look at the title track 'Driving Rough', a vocal-laiden slink through sweating sub pulses and distant arpeggiated melody bumps, with 'Let's Date Around' then ushering in a crunchy wave of 2-step flavour, doused in more grizzly low ends. We then move into 'U N I', a more emotive roller, topped with ghostly vocal overlays and a generally chilling feel, before 'Moving Mad' gives us the delicate closer we needed, rounding off this very well thought out collection with a final sip of finesse.
