Review: The latest release on MindTrip is a visceral affair, with Madrid's _Asstnt and Roll Dann collaborating on four incendiary tracks. The title track is a dense, noisy arrangement, with loose, raw percussion playing host to powerful filters and stinging synths, while a similar approach applies on "Old Crescent", where incessant stabs become the focus of the duo's incessant wall of percussive noise. Although "Red Rhythms" is sparser than both of these arrangements, it doesn't forgo intensity and resounds to hypnotic, clanging drums, while "Drunkenness of the Deep" sees the dynamic techno duo deliver a pared back but driving dance floor track, punctuated by high-pitched tones.

Review: Hayes is a new techno label to emerge from Portugal, and for its second release gathers together some new talent. First up is -2 with "Scherzo", a dense, rolling groove led by dramatic chord surges. It's understated, but its kicks rumble away in the background like distant thunder. Temudo, who has released on Planet Rhythm and Labrynth, delivers deeper, hypnotic, loops of "A2", while on Osse's "Quantum Mechanics", a forbidding future is mapped out through the use of spiky, insistent rhythms and tonal sequences transmitted from outer space. Rounding off this exemplar release is VIL's "Metafora", where claustrophobic drums and clattering percussion prevail.

Review: The Dirty Kitchen Rave team have unveiled a fiery collection indeed here, welcoming not only the innovative production talents of - Urbano -, but also three keen remixers to deliver this 'Relax' EP in style. The original track is a spicy one, laced with hard hitting robotic-style synth designs and subtle, eastern-sounding chord progressions, culminating in a hard hitting chopper of a drop. Remix wise, we firstly see MINT touch down with a more sublow approach to the arrangement, making the most of those fiery vocals, before POok gives the track a much more abstract, soundscape-driven feel. Finally, Pixel Fist unleashes a throwdown dubstep-sounding overhaul, giving the project one final dash of originality to close upon.

Review: Released physically as part of Warp's Record Store day activities, All U Writers / Gonna Guetta Stomp sees the welcome return to the label of Brooklyn's agit punk funk troupe !!!. Pronounced Chk Chk Chk, the ensemble have been long term fixtures of the Warp roster and this two track release provides further evidence of their talent for constructing a tight beat. Lead track "All U Writers" is a disco-tinged lick with instantly memorable vocals and a rather eerie collection of synths travelling in its underbelly, which sees the well-schooled hands of Ewan Pearson on the production buttons. "Gonna Guetta Stomp" is even weirder and even more of a hybrid tune, where a steady house beat links up with off-kilter piano keys, drunken vocals and sci-fi sonics.

Review: Punk funk outfit !!! find themselves remixed on this new EP from Warp, and it contains some of the most cutting-edge reworks we've heard in a while. Patrick Ford, Jim Eno and Mister Saturday Night's Alex Burkat all do their thing in fine style, rocking and shaking throughout, but the real jewels come from Proibito label head and all-round NY bad-boy Anthony Naples, and UK house-cat Maurice Fulton, who both deliver the goods in gargantuan proportions.
