Review: Between 1995 and 2002, Luke Solomon and the late Kenny Hawkes held a Wednesday night residency at Bar Rumba in London's West End. This was Space, and this collection pays tribute to the party and the records that rocked the dancefloor. Fittingly, it starts with Hawkes' 'Dance For Me', a nine-minute house bumper blessed with warped speed garage bass, and ends with a Solomon co-production, Freaks' trippy deep house jam 'Flywithme (Part 1)'; in between, you'll find such peak-time delights as Jedi Knights' sweaty, loose-limbed breakbeat house blast 'The Knock (Big Knockers)', the organ-rich, Sound Factory-style brilliance of 'Surrender Yourself (Ballroom Mix)' by The Daou, the pots-and-pans percussion insanity of Cajmere remixing Armando ('The Future'), and a smattering of classics (Ten City, killer remixes from MAW and Mood II Swing).

Review: Pushing a classic '90s house sound peak time enough to hit the charts, Other Records have curated and remastered a selection of mixes from A Man Called Adam's Balearic classic, All My Favourite People. With somewhat hilarious cover art "All My Favourite People" arrives in true CD single fashion by featuring album versions, radio edits and a 12" mix alongside some intriguing bonus mixes for the curious. To enjoy "All My Favourite People" is to love classic house strings, linear grooves, skipping hi hats and trance vocals that inspire visions of New York. Easing the release into a US garage vibe is the dubby charm of 'Dayz & Nights', with a true to form bonus beat instrumental to boot. Keeping it in NY all the more is Tom Middleton's Saturday night funk vibe to "The Calling" that dresses up a peak time Manhattan classic for the upbeat after hours.

Review: Having impressed with the first part of their 'oddities and rarities' collection, Love Forgotten, A Man Called Adam return with a second and final round-up of new, rare and unreleased tracks, remixes and collaborations. It's naturally a mighty fine set all told, with highlights coming thick and fast throughout. There's not enough space to list all of the high points, but our current favourites include the gentle samba-broken beat fusion of 'Estelle (Mystic Beats Instrumental)', bass-heavy breakbeat jam 'This is London' (a collaboration with Chris Coco), the deep analogue house hypnotism of 'Someone Else', the 'One Latin Rascal' dub of 'AMFP' -a bustling, percussive dancefloor treat - and the sensationally warm, live and languid 'Jisco Dazz Mix' of 'Que Tal America', where fusion band Bah Samba plays a leading role.

Review: As you'd expect, there's plenty to set the pulse racing on this second selection of remixes of tracks from A Man Called Adam's inspired comeback album, "Farmarama". Aleksandir sets the tone by channeling the spirit of Floating Points' early deep house works on a deliciously fluid, dreamy and emotion-rich remix of "Higher Powers", before joining forces with A Man Called Adam on an "Edit" of the same track that's a little sunnier, breezier and more Balearic in tone. A Man Called Adam offer up their own "Low Cal Dub" of "Michael" that wraps trippy, dubbed-out electronic elements and head-mangling, acid-style electronics around a constantly shifting up, while the "Radio Edit" of "Mountains and Waterfalls" is a breezy, Latin-tinged chunk of springtime Balearic house brilliance.
