Review: Thought Dealer is AADJA's debut release on Trip and follows on from records on PushMaster Discs and Suara, further showcasing this emerging artist's raw sound. The title track is a frenetic, sparse groove, littered with spooky vocal samples, and comes across like an update on the minimalism that the Swim imprint pioneered back in the 90s. On "Zappa Valley", AADJA adds some tranced-out slivers to her high-paced rhythms, while she opts for a darker approach with the acid-skewed kicks of "Voice In The Hall". While Thought Dealer isn't as intense as some of the releases on Nina Kraviz' label, it does feature drum-heavy bangers like "Neuro Erotic" and the bonkers acid of "Ear Bubbles".
