Review: London based minimal techno imprint The Untold Stories is relentless in its output of late but who can blame them when they've got a consistent run of talent at their disposal. After great releases by the likes of Suokas, Ivan Lopez and Franco Cinelli we've got ADVA from Bern, Switzerland with To Me It's Funk. The title track is the kind of quirky, deep house infused minimal full of cheeky micro-samples which reminds you of guys like Seuil or Le Loup. "Early Girl 420" is straighter, stripped back house for a Sunday morning after-hour session in a dark basement. "For Those Who Love" is a serving of dubby deep house with female vocal samples, rusty hi-hats and hypnotising chords. Finally the Plantae remix of "To Me It's Funk" is a low-slung, dusty and hypnotic slow burner reminiscent of Baby Ford or Melchior Productions.
