Review: Whenever we see the System Music flag flying into port, we know that we are about to open a serious treasure chest of enjoyment, with Ago being this month's captain, unveiling four party-ready jewels. Opening up with the title track 'Your Eyes', we immediately find ourselves in blissful fusion between glitchy synth melodies and shuffling, organic-sounding drums. These are then followed by both the unpredictable drum switches and flute-like melodics of 'Crippling' and almost 4x4-style rhythms of 'Eight Times Eight', which again change the mood with every new breath. Finally, 'Riverwind' gives us an anthemic closer, focussing on unique background foley and a steadily shuffling central line, closing off this collection with a truly unique feeling.

Review: It's been a little while since we last saw Ago & Boofy both in action, with this new Innamind Recordings drop being a perfect way to return to business. As far as two-trackers go, this one is up there for 2022 as we open up with the system-busting bassline action of 'Goldfinger', utilising metallic percussive licks and a steadily evolving arrangement for a seriously moody creation. On the flip side to this, we are then blessed with the sounds of 'Silverware', another high energy bounce, jam-packed with nostalgic melodic sampling and more smooth bass processing, reminding us of early DMZ-style arrangements with a modernised twist. Both of these are bangers we can see causing an absolute ruckus in a dance environment. Epic work!

Review: The team at Numa Recordings have assembled one hell of a selection here as we see them introduce four fantastic originals as part of this brand new 'Heartless Badboys' EP project. Firstly we see the well renowned Numa Crew get busy alongside the super catchy vocals of XL Mad on 'Broka', before we jump into the super smooth yet grimey flavours of Hypergrade's 'Cabala'. Next on the menu, we tuck into what we presume is the title track as 'Heartless Badboys' ushers forth with a tonne of half-time synthetic energy, courtesy of Ago & T.Kay. We then finish up with the old school junglist twists and turns of 'Old Ravers' from Lapo, wrapping up a very clever four track piece.

Review: With Innamind Recordings being such a forward thinking label project, we were absolutely thrilled to see this one land in our store as Ago steps out for a full length LP project, showcasing his versatility within the expansive realms of 140. What a project it is as well, from the smooth celestial synthesis of 'Above' and 'Deer' to the more dubwise influenced rolling percussion of 'So I Smoke' and 'Dragon Love'. Our highlights for this project however have to be the unpredictable yet incredibly smooth sounds of 'Blur', along with the sumptuous dubby switch ups and tumultuous sub pressures of 'Deer Dub'.

Review: Dark, militant dubstep coming sraight out of Renaissance city Florence , and we would say that Ago seems to be at the top of the Dubstep food chain. The producer returns to InnaMind Recordings with a swarm of fully-fledged dread-out fire; the bass weight is very much in place alongside the rest of their heartical bliss. "Why Won't You", the lead tune, literally steps its way through the rhythm with big power drums and echoing FX tricks, while "Flashin'" alludes to the breaks format thanks to some devious percussion work, and "Zero Shift" takes care of the sub bass fix with those huge, meandering slabs of low hertz for those looking for their bass massage. Come and get it!

Review: Los Angeles based deep dubstep imprint is back with local producer Ago, who offers us some more contemplative bass therapy from the darkside. First track "So Mi Seh" features delay drenched ragga samples over a deeply serious bassline and paranoid reefer atmospherics. Second track "That's What I Was Talking About In '96" gets a bit more fierce with its nostalgic, sampled dialogue soon giving way to a tough yet retrained beat assault and intense sub bass pulsations.
