Review: Jack's House launched by long serving island resident DJ and producer Clara Da Costa, is a new label born out of Ibiza, which also boasts a successful weekly prime time live radio show that used to focus mainly on exclusives and vinyl releases, broadcasted on the award winning Ibiza Sonica. Jack's House also hosts parties at the worlds most famous club, Space for Carl Cox. This first release comes from the talented and well respected, Alex Arnout from Dogmatik Records. Alex has had numerous releases over the years on many other respected labels such as One Records and the Fuse imprint. He is also known for launching, nurturing and finding good talent. This 3 track EP fully demonstrates Alex's versatility in the studio by offering 3 distinctive quality productions which can only be described as true house, and underground house music, made with integrity.
Review: Don't worry if you weren't able to get to hear veteran DJ and Bedrock co-founder John Digweed's recent set at Treehouse in Miami's South Beach, because its all here for you to enjoy. There are a whopping 41 tracks included, spread over three mixes and also provided in their individual form including such gems as Agoria's moody synth-drenched reworking of Damian Lazarus' "Vermillion", the fuzzy Fairlight fancy of Solaris Heights's "Nightfall" and Digitaria's Art Of Noise-style electro jam "Little Boy".
Review: Boogeyman is a new sub label from The Martinez Brothers' legendary Cuttin' Headz, run by Miami's Jesse Calosso - who also takes the lead with A&R. It kicks off with a fantastic compilation showcasing the sound and talent the label will deal in. Features Bristol's Aaran D (Disorder) with the deep mood music of "Planet Mars", veterans Matt Tolfrey & Alex Arnout getting slinky and hypnotic on "The Walk", Fabric resident Jaden Thompson delivering the sexy roller that is "Closer" and Amsterdam's Joey Daniel nails that perfect minimal tech house sound on "Wireless High" in addition to material from Calosso and The Martinez Brothers themselves.
