With an unwavering passion for his craft, Alex Niggemann's journey has been a captivating exploration of boundless creativity and humble artistry. From his early days as a classically trained pianist, a visit to the legendary Poison Club in Dusseldorf ignited his love for house and techno. "I had always been drawn to the music," he reflects, "but experiencing it in a club, feeling its energy and vibe, everything clicked. The DJ's ability to weave together four decks and vinyl, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere of unity, revealed my true calling in life."
Answering that calling, Alex embarked on his DJing career, captivating local audiences with his soulful sets. Soon, he established his own studio, delving into music production. It didn't take long for his talent to resonate with established labels, receiving global recognition from tastemakers. In 2006, his breakthrough arrived as he remixed Booka Shade's "Darko," marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. One of his crowning achievements came in 2014 with „Materium", a sensational hit that soared to the top of electronic charts, earning widespread acclaim across the industry.
Driven by an insatiable desire for creative expression, Alex naturally progressed to launch his own label and events brand, AEON, in 2013. AEON has played a pivotal role in nurturing emerging talents such as Denis Horvat, Echonomist, Musumeci, and Biesmans, becoming a catalyst for their success. Globally renowned for its events, AEON has consistently curated unforgettable sold-out parties, enchanting audiences with its immersive experiences. In 2023, AEON celebrated a momentous milestone, marking its 10th anniversary with a remarkable series of releases. This commemoration brought together a decade's worth of music spanning genres from Melodic House/ Techno to Indie Dance/Disco, featuring contributions from esteemed artists like Gerd Janson, Alan Dixon, Denis Horvat, Musumeci, Lauer, Theus Mago, Alinka, DC Salas, Biesmans, Massimiliano Pagliara, Aera, Fedele, and many more.
