Review: Ambala is comprised of the legendary Phil Mison with Thomas Schulz. With a bit of help from disco dons Laid Back they served up some deep and bluesy lounge business on "Walk With The Dreamers" for Copenhagen based Music For Dreams. It now gets a series of great remixes by fellow disco/balearic royalty in the form of the The White Isle's finest: Leo Mas who is joined by fellow Italians Fabrice and Giorgio Li Calzi. We personally preferred the lo-slung balearic goodness of the "Dreamers Dub" which is perfecting for drifting at Cafe Del Mar or Cafe Mambo this Summer on the island.

Review: It's a First World Problem, but pity the poor reviewer who has to find something new to say about a Music For Dreams compilation: with Bager's label now in the game for well over 20 years, and with the 'Music For Mindfulness' series itself reaching its seventh instalment, you really should know what you're getting by now! Still, it's a formula that works - clearly, or they wouldn't be into their third decade - and if you're a fan of the label's mix of ambient, Balearic and downtempo vibes then 'Music For Mindfulness Vol 7' should more than satisfy, with some of the more notable tracks including the fragile beauty of Valentin Huedo's 'Wonderful Piano', Hess Is More's haunting, indie/psych-tinged 'You & Me & Them' and Willie Graff & Darren Eboli's dubby 'Pink Hotel'.

Review: Denmark's Kenneth Bager is a pioneer and record hunter in addition to label owner of Music For Dreams. Through his legendary Club Coma and subsequent stints on Danish National Radio, he has been on air for four decades promoting dance music. The label started out as a lounge/chill-out label but has since evolved into an entity with no musical boundaries. Bager has also organised the Music For Dreams Festival, in addition to his residency at Cafe Mambo in Ibiza: where 13 Music For Dreams Sunday Events were being held thus far. On the label's latest compilation, Music For Mindfulness, there's so much great music and it's hard to pick just a few highlights, but here goes: Copenhagen local The Swan And The Lake's "Clouds Over Osterbro" is absolutely lush and dreamy, Bager himself delivers an ambient instrumental mix of Ruf Dug's "Dominica!", while pianist Troels Hammer makes several appearances here, but "Cold Hawaii" is his finest moment.
