The Berlin based Best Works Records is a collaboration between the producer and DJ Andre Lodemann with A&R by Daniel W. Best; known for his work with Jazzanova, Sonar Kollektiv and Best Seven Records. For the first installment in what seems like a new series, Lost & Found I features some great tracks reflective of the current Berlin clubbing landscape. Local trio Ann & Bones' "Elope" (remixed by label mainstay Fabian Dikof) is the kind of sultry and shimmering pop inflected house that you could imagine Lodemann himself playing during one of his acclaimed sets. Gacha Bakradze's "Something Nice For My Dog" is a soothing and majestic excursion in deepness, full of lush bell tones and ethereal pads in the vein of Dial Records or All Day I Dream. With deep house bases covered, the label then presents two seriously dark journey tracks: Felix Fischer's "Changeline" is rather nefarious indeed and geared for some proper strobe-lit dance floor drama (wonky synth leads guaranteed, too) as is Luis Junior's evocative little number entitled "Chicago Rain".
