Review: Howard Dodd, better known by his moniker Anoesis, has made a triumphant return to electronic music with his new EP, Stasislogue, on Cyphon Recordings. After a 20-year hiatus, Dodd proves that his talent and creativity are as vibrant as ever. The EP is a five-track showcase of Anoesis' prowess across various electronic genres, including IDM, electronica, house, and electro. He seamlessly weaves together these diverse sounds with his signature touch, which harkens back to his roots in the '90s. The journey begins with "Track Thirty 7," a glitchy, driving track with an ethereal urgency that moves limbs with purpose while "Callisto," offers a more emotive and dreamy experience. Soaring pads and glistening synths ride over a bubbling beat, creating a sonic journey that tugs at the heartstrings."May Eleventh" delves into the modulated mind of Anoesis, delivering an underwater electro trip. Following is "Space Watch" introducing a skippy house groove that's impossible to resist. A grooving low-end and lunar transmissions hypnotize from the very first beat. The EP culminates with "Places for People," a peak-time dancefloor gem; a fitting conclusion to this impressive collection of tracks.
