Review: Liquid D&B 4 Autism return with another exciting VA to raise money for charities that help those with autism, especially in countries where support isn't accessible or available. The turn-out, as with the previous collection in 2020, is immense with a whole host of talents stepping up with vibes galore ranging over 50 tracks. Highlights include the solemn yearns of Edward Oberon's 'Love Will Get Us Through', Anthony Kasper's warm and stretchy 'Life Ain't Perfect', Bachelors Of Science's 'Light Me Up' and Furney's hazy 'De La Soul Saturday' but that really is just the tip of what this album has to offer. Get involved and support a great cause.

Review: Fokuz label manager, the Cincinnati-based liquid whiz kid that is Anthony Kasper, is back on home turf with a brand spanking new single that blends depth, lightness, darkness and melancholia in one hypnotic blend of 170 skill. 'Zuluu' is the deeper of the two and it smacked of 'Open My Eyes' by the legendary Calibre with its diving tendrils of oozing bassline. 'Mayday' amps things up energy wise with a drum break so clean you can see you face in it and a bassline so clear that you'll be able to, well, see you face in it. Clarity and ingenuity pore out of every crevice in this release but, to be honest, we're not all that surprised. Another top notch bit of work from the Fokuz camp.

Review: Tastebud-tingling peak time soul from Lurch & Kasper right here. Neither party require introduction and together they complement each other perfectly on the silky groove workout "The Flavour". Shining with soul but jumping with a sprightly break that's sprung with bags of energy, it's summertime arrival isn't a coincidence. Meanwhile on track two we see Lurch updating last year's "Fake Tan Dub" with a darker, heads-down roll-out vibe. Crucial.

Review: St. Petersburg-based Intelligent Manners and classically-trained musician and producer Kasper likes to experiment with his drum and bass, and track one on this fresh sounding EP shows just that. Taking a side each, the first is a big-stepping beauty with a rolling bassline, and an old Hospital sound coming from dusty vamped chords and twinkling melodies. On the other side, Intelligent Manners breaks out the shakers for a frosty shimmy around soaring string samples and big, voluptuous bass. Perfect headphone material.

Review: Celsius just keep on delivering the goods. The next installment from the label comes in the shape of Kasper's "Revitalize EP". The first track, "Nepsis" is a bit of a subdued little roller with quirky, muffled SFX playing in the background, shuffling breaks and a pervasive sense of melancholy. Accompanying this is the title track, "Revitalize" which is a rather more upbeat number featuring warm instrumentals, undulating b-lines and delicate melodies dancing above. Occasionally a vocal snippet comes in and out of focus, adding an element of intrigue to the track.
