Review: New World Audio have come at you with a single that includes a remix of both sides, turning this into a sick little EP which crosses a number of genre boundaries. 'Taser' is a dark, dubstep cut that features a rattling percussive line, slick background detailing and a suitably warm yet moody sub-bass line. DJ Squarewave is on remix duties and doesn't do a complete overhaul, yet injects a new sense of rowdiness with some additional kicks and a few new synth lines. 'Midnight Club' is heavier, for sure, grating basses sweep away the subtelty of the last for new pastures, Arkwright's remix then taking it in the opposite direction, back to the lands of space and contemplation. A very cool EP - don't miss out dubstep fans.

Review: Straight out of the dubbed out streets of Manchester, we are pleased to welcome Hypho and Amadeo Sanchez's new project 'Manuka' as they unveil their debut four track drop. We kick off with new school dubstep high flyer: Arkwright, with his shimmering roller in 'Course', before dipping into Kelly Dean's dungeon dwelling demon in 'Childs Play', which is packed to the rafters with reesey energy and grizzly subs over skippy 4x4 infused beats. Next, Sensei brings some more original flavour as the gritty bass tones of 'Red Cross' run riot, along with the wobbly moogish bass designs of Zygos on 'Paz', rounding off a fantastic debut release.

Review: Fresh from denting Southpoint's discography earlier this month, Arkwright returns with four new deep bruisers on Wheel & Deal. It's business from the very beginning as "Bludclart" develops with a really natural rolling pace while "Black Mesa" leans things out with vast moments of dubspace, sudden flurries of atmospheres and some crazily stretched bass textures and "Homeward" applies more of a hip-hop/beatsy approach with its vocal cuts and latent funk in the rhythm. Finally "Fat Stacks" kicks its slo-mo heels with a warped sub vibe that really lives up its name. Watch out for those trumpets bruh.

Review: Acclaimed London producer Arkwright has already created quite a stir in the music biz with less than a handful of releases. Here the Rinse FM fave, makes his debut on Duploc, bringing fire with just two fierce tracks. The shadow of dubstep is naturally all over the release but never obscuring the music from its own unique sound. "Fool" is brooding and full of menace, with creepy horror melodies and tough echoing drums. "Networks" meanwhile is more sublime with dreamy synth washes layered to devastating effect. A truly new talent emerges.
