Review: All Day I Dream's 'Summer Sampler' releases have always been action-packed treats, so it's no surprise that 2023's edition - which appears to be the most expansive to date - is another strong offering. Those who enjoy the imprint's trademark blend of tactile, tech-tinged house grooves, dreamy chords and melody-rich instrumentation will find plenty to set the pulse racing throughout, from the soaring, trance-inducing builds of Double Touch's 'Should've Known' and the warming, dancing-under-the-stars headiness of Lee Burridge's on-point remix of Luciano's 'The Amazing Lilou', the the deep and trippy wooziness of Lost Desert's 'Kuiki', and the immersive, sunrise-ready deep house bliss of 'Preciosa' by Mass Digital. In a word: essential!

Review: The Hoom Side of the Sun compilation series has previously delivered two expansive volumes of soul-warming, tech-tinged deep house goodness, each packed with tracks that tend towards the exotic, emotive and intoxicating. Volume three, which lands 12 months after its predecessor and presents a similarly sunny and atmospheric blend of high-grade cuts. For proof, check out the clips of Hreach's hypnotic but stirring 'Blue Road', the percussion-rich deep-tech loveliness of Lucien's 'Lluvia', the fluttering summer breeze beauty of 'Virtue' by Hermanez, and the psychedelic, trance-inducing dancefloor psychedelia of Luka Sambe's 'The Juggle'.

Nervous Layers - (6:48) 118 BPM Hot
Mysterious World - (7:39) 118 BPM
Traveller - (6:21) 122 BPM
Review: With a background crafting hazy ambient cuts and woozy, dark techno shufflers, it would be fair to say that Armen Miran's productions are rarely less than atmospheric. That's certainly the case here, as the American producer joins forces with fellow sonic explorer Hraach for a three-track missive on Earthly Delights. All three cuts are rich, melodious and evocative, with becalmed musical elements rising above Innervisions style tech-house grooves. There are, of course, subtle differences through; contrast, for example, the breathy female vocals samples and snaking synthesizer lines of "Traveller" and the extended breakdowns and sweeping chord sequences of standout opener "Nervous Layers".

Inevitable Ending (Viken Arman & Goldcap remix) - (14:20) 100 BPM
Review: The latest EP on Sol Selectas sees deep house sort Hraach join forces with fellow Ready Mix contributor Armen Miran, whose recent Lost Found EP was an altogether more Balearic excursion. Given the common ground between the duo, it's unsurprising to find that "Inevitable Ending" is a drowsy and atmospheric deep house affair, with twinkling, xylophone style instrumentation and Middle Eastern melodies riding a smooth house groove. On "Aldebarran", the pair ratchets up the atmosphere a notch or two, with Miran contributing the melancholic piano flourishes that perfectly compliment Hraach's chunky deep house groove. The EP closes with something of an epic; a 14-minute remix of "Inevitable Ending" from Viken Arman and Goldcap that offers a chugging, psychedelic taste of the exotic.
