Review: After a series of outings on Kopoc and Circular Limited, Asedub now debuts on Maison Profonde. Fans of deeper shades of house and techno will find much to love here; the first "Southern Soul" seamlessly integrates vocal snippets and Detroit-style outer space tones and blips with a fluid, flowing groove. On the second track, Asedub focuses on the kind of layered deep house you'd expect to find on labels like Verdant, with spaced out layers of synths unfolding over a throbbing low end. For the third track, he changes tact again, two deliver a cavernous, stripped back dub techno stepper that recalls the output of labels like Echocord.
