Review: Baby Rollen, known for his unique UK-centric dance floor language, launches his own label Slump Recordings label with Love Potion. Referencing all manner of '90s flash points in the title track, with its garage tip to boot, get your proto-trance banger from "Onion Cake". With a flurry of break beats and wicked acid lines taking over in "Planet B", it's "Submarine Mammals" for that deep sea diving Detroit electro joint.

Review: SlothBoogie's 'Dancing With Friends' series, a compilation strand showcasing cuts from both label artists and invited guests, has firmly established itself as 'one to watch'. Happily, the third volume in the series is as on-point as its predecessors. There's much to admire across the 16 tracks on show, with our picks of a very strong bunch including the sun-soaked deep house heat of Philippa's sample-heavy 'Chet's Vibe', the bumpin', post-hip-house hedonism of 'Take Back' by Sudden Moves, the dream house-goes-Detroit techno hypnotism of Ruff Stuff's 'Stab Culture', the deep acid house excellence of Baby Rollen's 'Study in Serenity' and the throbbing excellence of Donald Dust's 'Aftercare'. Throw in killer cuts from a couple of better-known artists - see the contributions from Demuir and the Revenge - and you've got another genuinely must-check release.

Gallegos & Baby Rollen - "B45" - (7:14) 133 BPM Hot
Gallegos - "Shouldacouldawoulda" - (5:04) 133 BPM
Review: Up next on Holding Hands, we welcome the high energy combination of Baby Rollen & Gallegos, a partnership destined for greatness, who here unveil four tracks of pure rave power. First up, we take a look at the Gallegos solo contributions, with the acidic arpeggios and pumping drum designs of 'Blue Mountain' setting us off quickly, before the more melodic themes of 'Shouldacouldawoulda' provide us with some nice contrast. Next, Baby Rollen joins the party, firstly on the moogy drum bass tones and choppy drum rolls of 'Underwater Excursion' and then on the masterfully dispatched breakbeat themes of 'B45'. A very tidy EP indeed!

Review: Bristolian merchants of the finest lo-slung grooves Futureboogie return, with this absolutely hot release by Holding Hands boss Desert Sound Colony and label mate Baby Rollen. The Beta Burner EP comes with added psychedelic flavours courtesy of an A Sagittariun Remix. From the bumpin' late night acid funk of the title track, it then gets a Yorkshire style '90s bleep techno rework by A Sagittariun (Re-Dream) before the loose and off-kilter electro breaks of "Dumpster Truck" (original mix) goes for something looser. Finally DSC goes solo on the funky "Seismic Soy Bean".
