Review: Those who've been to Croatia's Love International festival - the successor to the now legendary Garden Festival in Tisno - will confirm that their Balearic-minded, beachside "sunrise sessions" are particularly magical. It seems to be these that inspired the first release on the festival's new offshoot label, which comes from sunrise session stalwart Begin (AKA veteran DJ/producer James Holroyd). Like Holroyd's previous Begin releases, the four tracks showcased here are wonderfully warm, glassy-eyed and loved-up. We're particularly enjoying the languid alien synths, jazzy guitars and rubbery bass of "Wood Trees" and the gentle, Bossa-infused shuffle of "Day Pulse", though the dub-wise Balearic house bliss of "Garden (Interlude)" and lounge style jauntiness of "Into The Fun" are also both superb. Basically, it's fantastic from start to finish.
