Sub Zero pirouettes into the mix first with the gully ballet that 'Bullet'. He's backed up by a whole host of young talent; Bennie & CLB get wavey to the ravey rushes on 'Spark It', Stance, Jenks and Fearnquest get dark on 'Stamina' while Napes and Xav pay tribute to the pirate on the disgusting stripped back stepper session 'Four Fists'. Shell out or shut up.

Review: Experimentalist by drum and bass persuasion Bennie enters the nether regions of contemporary rave core with the No Better EP. Flanked by Jam Thieves and Bookey, the former keeps it inside with a liquid-esque jungle rhythm amid industrial sound design and fractions of twisted hip hop ("Gyaldem Sugar"). The latter, (Bookey), turns in a melodic and horn-blessed ephemeral banger next to Beanie's own "VVS DIamonds" that sees euphoric crescendos fall into melodically constructed drum and bass workouts. With two EJ Kitto collaborations in-tow all the more - "Toffee" and "No Better" see both artists push at the limits of EDM, experimentalism and cut up drum and bass. Tip: "No Better".

Review: Full steam ahead! DJ Hybrid's Audio Addict engine ploughs into the new year with this exceptional trio of tracks from Welsh warrior Bennie. As always with both parties, the focus is firmly on the dance as Bennie works us through our paces bassline after bassline... 'Loco' is the big bruiser of the bunch, 'Killa' is all about the groove dexterity with its chopped up vocals and energetic groove while 'Step God' pushes the boundaries in a very forward-thinking, contemporary way. Review: Welshman Bennie is absolutely firing out the releases this month with releases on the likes of Boom 93, Beats Bass Life and now Basslayerz with this hectic heap of peaktime face-melters and floor burners. 'Hijack' sets the tone and vibe with its unkempt funk while 'Ascension' hits hard with one of the best build-ups Bennie has created so far. Elsewhere the inimitable Spyda joins the party with a wise word about about the law's long arm, 'Fallout' is all about the playful laser bass while 'Bass Talk' closes the EP on a twisted tip with plenty of sirens. Big boy business.
