Review: As befits one of techno's most revered labels, Tresor 30 is a comprehensive collection that takes in a breath-taking array of artists and sounds. The compilation features classics, such as Underground Resistance's "Final Frontier", remixed here into a clubbier shape, the spellbinding deep techno of Juan Atkins' "I Love You" and Jeff Mills' timeless banger, "Late Night", one of Tresor's signature tracks. These eternal works sit alongside contributions from newer artists: in particular, Afrodeutsche's "Can't Stop" is a wonderfully dreamy affair, while RRoxymore's "Multiplicity" teases new twists from percussive techno. Thirty years after its inception, Tresor is showing no signs of slowing down.

Review: Bergsonist aka Selwa Abd follows 2017's From Dualism To Monism long player with this collection of left of centre tracks. Drawing on her Eastern roots, Middle resounds to organic drum sounds. At times chaotic and dense, audible on the title track's clattering arrangement, in other instances club-friendly and direct - just check "Gaza Border Violence" or the electronic groove of "Otology" - it marks her out as an artist with a unique approach. In case you are in any doubt about Bergsonist's capabilities, on "Magnesium" she deconstructs beat down house and adds extra, textured layers that are nothing short of hypnotic.

Review: Selwa Abd has released a series of cassettes and 12 inches as Bergsonist, but this EP is probably her most diverse to date. "Exile" is underpinned by raw drums and provides a basis for the Moroccan artist to lay down atmospheric chord sequences. "Ressentiment" is darker and more droning, with noisy riffs unravelling over jittery kicks. The closest reference point to any other artist is Hieroglyphic Being's more visceral work. On "Mutation", Abd heads in a different direction again, this time towards emotive, breaky electro. The label has tapped Murray CY to rework "Ressentiment", resulting in the most upfront track, a heads-down, noisy analogue workout.
