Review: What a link up we have here as the raucous sounds of Bristol's finest meet a grime legend in smokey style. If we are honest, there are few names in grime music who can claim a catalogue the same level as P Money, who arrives on this sizzling new instrumental from Jook & Boofy in rapturous form. He lays a barrage of high energy punchlines down over a backdrop laced with haunted choir vocals, sharpened percussive pops and silky rhythmic designs, showing us just how potent a combo the two Sector 7 veterans can be. This one also comes complete with the full instrumental drop to match, which even as a stand alone design packs a hell of a punch.

Review: It's been a little while since we last saw Ago & Boofy both in action, with this new Innamind Recordings drop being a perfect way to return to business. As far as two-trackers go, this one is up there for 2022 as we open up with the system-busting bassline action of 'Goldfinger', utilising metallic percussive licks and a steadily evolving arrangement for a seriously moody creation. On the flip side to this, we are then blessed with the sounds of 'Silverware', another high energy bounce, jam-packed with nostalgic melodic sampling and more smooth bass processing, reminding us of early DMZ-style arrangements with a modernised twist. Both of these are bangers we can see causing an absolute ruckus in a dance environment. Epic work!

Review: As one of the real leading forces in Bristol's 140 scene, we were very excited when we heard tell of a new project dropping from Boofy, especially when we learnt that it was to be alongside now legendary Tectonic imprint. We kick off the party with title track 'in My Head' which is a creepy, old school roller, driven by spooky harmonics, along with the skippier drum stylings of 'Perfunktion' and the quite frankly incredible sub work that takes place across the triplet driven arrangement of 'Back In The Box'. We then sign the project off with 'Herbie', another haunting expanse of unpredictable soundscaping, driven by organic drums and persistent, grizzly drones.

Review: As one of Bristol's finest, Boofy has been pushing the barriers of dubstep and grime fusion for many years now and it's rare he doesn't come up with the goods. This time we see him team up with the American imprint 'Innamind Recordings' for a fantastic 10" single, also available for digital download. The A side is named 'Dead Stylus' which focuses on percussive triplets and rolling subs, creating a fantastic natural groove when coupled with Boofy's signature dungeon style synth design. On flip we hear 'Ledge', which is reminiscent of early ClueKid releases, with a croaky bass synth lead running riot amongst unpredictable drum switches and dubbed out snare patterns.

Review: The lead track on this EP by Bristolian producer Boofy perfectly captures his take on instrumental grime, with a tune that is a wreck of nerves laced with paranoid synths. 'Warzone' begins where the last track ends and ups the ante on sinister mechanical beats and apocalyptic atmosphere. There are two remixes too: Hi5ghost goes for demented hard beats and Nativ keeps it simple with some classic tropical 4x4 action.

Review: Bristol-based Boofy updates his deep portfolio with this tight-knit trio of reflective romps. Each cut designed to tickle your innermost mind, the Boofster sure knows how to strike the balance of emotion and weight in his compositions. The title track owes its prominence to the staccato kick drum rhythm that maintains the energy as the pads and stabs fire blindly into the abyss. "Tempus" is a more melancholic affair as it writhes and wriggles on a halfstep amidst all manner of gurgles and groans. Gutcha finishes the set with a remix of "Momentum". Isolating Boofy's ace kick drum work, he goes ahead and doubles them up to create a more pummelling tribal concoction.
