Review: After releasing a full-length just last year Jesse Somfay is throwing his Borealis moniker headfirst into another sizable exploration of eclectic electronica with a focus on big synth lines, detailed percussion and a no-holds-barred approach to sampling. There's a lot of energy running through the sixteen tracks on Glittervoice, whether it be the swelling emotional intensity of a track like "Angelsmoke" or the fiery drum arrangements of "Streamsnare", but there's also plenty of room for more contemplative vignettes and synth-laden hyperballads a la "Vapour Sword". If you crave bombastic tones in your electronic listening experiences, this album has everything you need.
