Ratz In The Back (Sewage Mixx) - (7:27) 126 BPM
Fuck Your Rock And Jack Your Funk - (5:08)
127 BPM Review: Given that vinyl copies of Ratz In The Back are now trading for high prices online, its digital release is timely. It also provides an opportunity to shine a light on one of 2014's best records. Working as Breaker 1 2, Greg Beato drops a grungy acid track. Available here in its "Sewage Mixx" version, the title is appropriate, as Beato wades through viscous 303 lines, protected only by the rattling, clanging percussion. While it's the US producer's best track to date, it can't compare to Ekman's "Fuck Your Rock And Jack Your Funk". Using a muffled vocal sample and mad detuned tones, it sounds like a lean and mean, ghetto-friendly take on Gesloten Cirkel's electro fuzz.
