Review: Kickstarting this new label is Buuk, whose three-tracker has already received support from the likes of Marcel Dettmann and Giant Swan. The title track is a peak-time affair, with menacing, metallic chords swooping in over a dense rhythm and gritty percussion. "Contemplate" is deeper, with Buuk conjuring up a stripped back groove and then layering hypnotic chords and surging acid lines over this backing. "2000" sees another shift in style; while not as intense as the title track, the combination of skeletal drums and bruising bass provide the basis for the kind of building synths that you'd expect to hear on a vintage Slam record.
