Fake Drukqs - (4:23) 128 BPM
Blue Balloon - (5:19)
128 BPM Review: Already three releases strong on vinyl, Jonathan Burnip's One Day Wonder label enters the digital domain with an old-school flavoured release from its owner. Working under his usual Capracara guise, Burnip revisits the sound of Inner City and rave techno for the title track. Happy synth stabs collide with a bouncy groove and euphoric piano keys and some breathy vocal stabs for a good time techno track. "Blue Balloon" is more contemporary sounding and sees Burnip cleverly combining a stepping rhythm with tough kicks, but the wired vocal sample are reminiscent of Green Velvet at his laughing gas-deranged heights.
