Review: If you know anything about liquid D&B then the words 'Soul Deep' should bring a huge beaming grin to your face. Responsible for some of the finest new and upcoming talents in soulful and liquid drum and bass, if you've not come across them before, get ready to have your mind blown. From the old-school Motown sampling of Capiska's opening track to Phase 2's jazzy but dark "Parallax", the opening of the LP is distinctly mellow and moody, and there's one feature throughout that you may have noticed - these artists are either newly discovered or recently acquired by Soul Deep. The perfect sonic directory for brand new liquid. Enjoy.
Review: Just in time for Halloween, Sacred Souls Vol 3 rears its head bringing a superb selection of tracks from up and coming D&B-sters which will have fans more than happy. Kicking off with Jam Thieves' "Walking In The Rain" its all about the dramatic, cinematic element here as we ease our way into the EP. Next is Hysee "Narrow" with its mournful strings and pattering breaks; then Beepo's "Those Words" which strips things back with clip clop beats and lethargic melodies. Capsika steps up with the lush "Just Forget", followed by Rehabilition Unit's "Lookin' For Love" before Magnafide's dreamy "Awakenings" finishes things off.
