Review: The Beatwise Recordings team have a real ear for uniqueness and creative sound design, which is very apparent as we explore this wicked instrumental collection from CESRV. We begin with the constantly switching grime influences of 'Raddim', alternating between eskimo samples and flutey melodies, before 'Fala Memo' combines drill-like drum skips which unpredictable percussive links and 'Terceiro Mundo' drives us down a more UKG-influenced road with it's skippy rhythmic textures. From here we jump back into the more plucky instrumental switch ups of 'Chelsea', which again explores some classic grimey sounds, before 'Soho' gives us a real switch up, diverting to a much lower tempo, topped with lofi drums and groovy melodic influxes. Finally, 'Yin Yang' gives us our cleanest landing as gorgeously processed drum arrangements and silky basslines below join forces for a perfect outro to this wavy selection.

Review: The team at Black Marble Collective have maintained an incredibly consistent high standard throughout the course of 2019, with this latest compilation providing the cherry for the metaphorical cake they really do deserve. They assemble a goliath 16 track collection including original heat from the likes of DJ Ends, Jah Bliddie, Andrew DIFF, Dev79 and more. For us there are a couple of stand out favourites, including 6Blocc's incredibly emotive rethink 'For Life', originally featuring A.Fruit. We also love the rave-ready basslines of Dom Corleone's 'Yo Body' VIP mix and the junglist slices of 'Underground' from Alexandre.

Review: We here see a lesson in footwork excellence as Cesrv & Symbiotic Sounds team up in style for four tracks of varying styles and natures. The pair get busy building their own creations and remixing each others work, kicking off with the hard hitting snare driven rhythms of Cesrv's 'Don't Even Kno', followed by a very unusual, airy original entitled 'Bomboclat' from Symbiotic Sounds. The remixes do their job and then some as Symbiotic Sounds rework 'Don't Even Kno' into a trappy little creeper, followed by Cersv's nostalgic refunk of 'Bomboclat', drawing influences from junglistic synthesizers from start to finish.

Review: Producer from Brazil, Cesrv whose musical endeavours started back in 2006, he's an important figure in the Brazilian bass scene. He managed to score some fruitful collaborations outside his home country, with the likes of DJ Rashad and Taso to name a few. After his single "STRTZ", on the "Groove Sounds & Twisted Rhythms Vol. V" compilation, the artist shows us his arsenal of abilities and his musical maturity on his debut EP "HIGH". The tracks found on this record are rhythmically pulsating compositions pulling us closer to the climate of South America, fueled by the most recent sounds in the electronic music world of jungle and footwork.
