Review: WIth Clafrica an artist borne out of a flurry of records and releases that made their way out in 2019, the Sicilian artist brings a beat heavy collection of tracks to Darker Than Wax that takes its inspiration from ghetto house, booty music, techno, deep house and electro. Bass heavier numbers take a slightly aquatic form in "U Reach I Teach" next to something more cruisey in "Skip Thru That Lane" - dope video game music. Hard electronic drums underpin the Drexciyan electro of "U Can't Guard Me!" with the lyrics in "Ride The Defense" as lurid as its bassline. Get your classical and melodic house music number outta "Sharpshoota" with some haunted drum tracks (Ghouls & Goblins style) to be found in "Halftime". Dope EP.
