Review: This is not the first compilation to drop whose sole aim is to raise funds for NHS Chartities Together - R&S Records and Bass Agenda both delivered similarly epic sets - but "Care4Life" may well be the strongest and most diverse. As you'd expect, each one of the 45 tracks is previously unreleased, and the cast list reads like a who's who of dance music culture. Notable highlights include an ultra-deep, saucer-eyed number from Daniel Avery, an unheard rework of the Chemical Brothers' "Catch Me I'm Falling", a superb revision of Harvey's Locussolus project by Kiwi, Matthew Herbert in jazzy broken beat mode, a rare solo outing from Optimo's JD Twitch, a rip-roaring rave workout from Jas Shaw, and thumping peak-time bangers from Dusky, Eats Everything and Patrick Topping.

Bobbie Caris
Bobbie Caris - (5:07) 65 BPM
Review: When Britain's Clark and American Com Truise set out on their co-headlining tour, the two collaborated on a split 12" available for purchase at their live dates, which is now available in digital format. The former's contribution titled "Bobbie Caris" is a wonderful electro-funk number with P-funk influences that channels the vibe of Detroit greats such as Gerald Donald or James Stinson, but equally adding his own unique spin on things: as only this revered IDM maestro and Warp label staple only can! Fun fact: the track is actually named after his trusty sound engineer that he takes on tour.

A Badman Sound/Heath Town/Inf Inf Inf Inf
Mark Pritchard - "A Badman Sound" - (4:23) 54 BPM Hot
Bibio - "Heath Town" - (5:04) 168 BPM
Clark - "Inf Inf Inf Inf" - (4:52) 140 BPM
Review: Warp has recently rejuvenated its infamous purple series of EP that rendered the label so enigmatic in the 1990's, and not only have they done the right thing aesthetically, but they're also picking the right artists to helm the mixing desk. This time it's a three-pronged artillery attack from Mark Pritchard, Bibio and Clark: Pritchard delivers a heady jungle rhythm with a contemporary look and feel, while Bibio's "Heath Town" is a sparse and prickly noise segment, Clark's "Inf Inf Inf Inf" prefers to remain beat-driven but genreless, perhaps best suited for the umbrella terms known as broken beat. A strong appearance form all three artists, and a fine addition to this legendary catalogue of British experimental and dance music.

Review: Danish power trio of electro-pop persuasion consisting of of drummer/DJ/producer Tomas Barfod, and the two-headed vocal monster singer/bassist Tomas Hoffding, AKA Bon Homme and singer/guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg present us with a dreamy, deep and ethereal journey much in the vein of their own productions as a continuous mix. Highlight include The Acid's "Ra" (David August Remix), George Fitzgerald's melodic journey track "Your Two Faces" and DJ Tennis with "Diversions" and the Roman Flugel remix of it which is just amazing. All in all a consistent mix that'll help you drift away wonderfully. Available as individual tracks plus a bonus continuous mix.

Sodium Trimmers (Marcel Dettmann edit) - (5:27) 126 BPM Hot
Banjo (Pariah edit) - (4:03) 128 BPM
Review: Warp has really spoiled us with this excellent remix EP from label favourite Clark, featuring two of his mightiest tracks licked and remixed by two of techno's biggest stars. The former, Marcel Dettmann, is responsible for the growth and expansion of the Berlin sound, and as you'd expect, his remix of "Sodium Trimmers" is a high-powered, stripped 4/4 affair built exclusively for the floor. The latter, Pariah, is part of Karenn with Blawan, and his remix of "Banjo" is a broken, stuttering analogue workout with plenty of tripping and cut-throat snares.

Review: It is some 13 years since Chris Clark delivered his debut album on Warp, the rather quite brilliant Clarence Park. By his prolific standards, he's been relatively quiet in recent times; this seventh full-length is his first for two years. While there are occasional experimental interludes, for the most part Clark is a playful affair, with the St Albans-born producer delivering a set of tracks that layer fuzzy chords, distorted melodies, spiraling electronics and exotic instrumentation atop scratchy techno grooves. There are, of course, plenty of twists and turns along the way, with the dystopian electro of "Banjo", eccentric ambience of "Snowbird" and the surging, almost symphonic electronica of "Beacon" standing out.

Superscope
Superscope - (5:40) Hot
Riff Through The Fog - (6:46)
Review: With his latest release, Chris Clark is clearly in the mood to make a few bones rattle. The electronica artist has certainly embraced plenty of dance tropes in the past, but they've tended to be portrayed under the influence of some kind of interference. While "Superscope" may still display plenty of wild tendencies (not least in its feisty breakdown), there's a discernible club-readiness about the pronounced and regular kick pattern, the hooky flute on the drop, and the general ease with which you can sink your teeth into everything about the track. "Riff Through The Fog" may display more esoteric tendencies with its lavish chiming melodies, but even there you can count on a steady heartbeat of rhythm where Clark can commonly be found throwing you off the beat.

Review: In the 12 years since he unfurled acclaimed debut album Clarence Park, one-man electronica factory Chris Clark has produced a vast body of work. He's been particularly busy on the remix front, completing a huge array of reworks. It's this work that makes up the vast majority of Feast/Beast, a remix retrospective (which, curiously, also includes some notable reworks of his material) split into two distinct halves. The first disc, Feast, focuses on the more melodic, other-worldly end of his output, delivering wide-eyed remixes of Amon Tobin, Kuedo and, most beautiful of all, Silverman. Beast, the second disc, moves into darker, tougher territory, joining the dots between techno, bass music, vintage hardcore and wonk-hop thanks to notable versions of Massive Attack, Maximo Park and Depeche Mode.

Review: Having just issued forth his sixth album Iradelphic on Warp, Chris Clark shares a six-track EP of alternate takes and off-cuts. As ever, there's a confident straddling between electronic and organic sources, whilst rhythms contort with elasticity, but there's an intriguing progression in style from the start of the EP to the finish. "Fantasm Planes" features plenty of nagging synth bravado in a stuttering framework, and "Henderson Swooping" likewise drowns the whispers of earthly matter with a monstrous mechanical stomp. However, by the time you've reached the stunning fractured blues of "Secret Slow Show" (with Martina Topley Bird's infallible croon) you'd find it hard to believe it was the same artist.

Broken Kite Footage - (4:54)
Review: Chris Clark's sixth album for Warp sees him favour a distinctly pastoral approach. Tracks like "Henderson Wrench" and "Ghosted" are breathless folksy affairs, powered by acoustic guitar strumming and in the case of "Ghosted", a haunting vocal. On other occasions, Clark opts for a sweeter style as saccharine synths and mid tempo, unquantized beats vie for the listener's attention. The same kind of quirky playfulness is audible on the humming bass and break beats of "Open" or "Tooth Moves", where live drums underpin a synth that emits waspish tones. But Clark also has a reflective side and the album's highlights occur when he delivers the beautifully contemplative piano compositions "Black Stone" and the widescreen ambience of "Broken Kite Footage".
