Review: You can always count on the super consistent Dub Communication to supply us with some fresh dubwise treats. This project sees them bring forward the combined stylings of Frenk Dublin and Clinton Sly for two tracks of pure flavour. We begin with the softened syncopated chord structures and unpredictable delay movements of the title track 'Good Vibes We Bring', before diving into the dubwise version. This one goes by the name of 'Dub Them Good Vibes' offering the compositional structure up in a completely different light, focussing more so on spacious effects and potent sub bass pressure.

Review: Signing out 2016 in style: Totally Dubwise follow up their successful Riddim Up collection with another full-spectrum compendium featuring all firm family faces. Fresh versions abound from moody, gully darkness ("Versitality Dub", "Struggle") to rushed-out party skankers ("Party All Night", "Money Friend") to sultry sunrise horn-blazers ("Temptress Riddim") via out-and-out bounce attacks ("Police Officer") ensuring this album not only documents the strength and creative clarity of the label but every member involved, too. Serious firepower.

Real Good Gal
Real Good Gal (feat Clinton Sly - original) - (4:07) 141 BPM
Real Good Gal (DJ Maars remix) - (4:01) 146 BPM Hot
Real Good Gal (Cut La Vis remix) - (4:13) 141 BPM
Real Good Gal (Dark Able remix) - (5:47) 134 BPM
Review: There are occasions where a vocal simply isn't necessary; the instrumental original does all the damage you want it to. Then there's the less frequent case of vocal / instrumental smelting that's so natural and neat, you wonder why it hasn't happened sooner. "Real Good Gal" is definitely in the latter category. Originally released in 2012, Tzinas' "Jam Hot Riddim" (a dub version of Beats International), here we find it graced with Montreal's finest dancehall singer Clinton Sly and it's the perfect match. The remixes are equally stimulating; Maars adds emphasis to the beats, Cut La Vis adds a sense of electronic evangelism and Dark Able smashes out a jungle-juiced jump up D&B vibe. Real good vibes.

Can't Divide
Can't Divide - (4:20) 144 BPM
Can't Divide (dub mix) - (4:20) 144 BPM
Can't Divide (El Richee remix) - (4:52) Hot
Can't Divide (riddim) - (4:20) 144 BPM
Played by: Seed Organization
Review: Don't worry, "Can't Divide" isn't Seed Organization's lament about not being able to do maths. Quite the contrary; it's actually his ode to music and its unifying power. Classic dub barbed with a smidgeon of contemporary bass grit, SO's licks are the ideal bed for Sly's throaty dancehall patter. For less mic focus and more studio wizardry head for the dub. For added 170 thrills head for El Richee's sweet and subby D&B remix. For more of a dubstep focus head for the riddim mix. Each version a stone cold killer, this is essential for trad dub and contemporary bass heads alike.
