This collaboration flies in the face of current tool house trends, but in so doing, delivers timeless results. In its original format, "Panfried" centres on a resonating, acid-soaked bassline that ebbs and flows effortlessly and which supports an evocative, haunting female vocal. It's reminiscent of the deeper end of the H-Foundation sound or the best of late 90s San Fran house. The Backroom Dub is more jacking, but here too traces of deep house from a different era are audible. The bassline is warmer and more fluid and the squelchy acid lines are sure to bring older listeners on a trip down memory lane. For the younger fans, there's the thrill of the first time to satisfy!
