Review: With a name that sounds like they may well be straight from the pages of a particularly depraved Doctor P vs. Borgore rulebook, Counterstrike provide a similarly revolting take on the 140 BPM genre. Expect adrenalin-inducing, trance-like synths, exorbitant mid range wobble, croaking bass, screeching SFX and smacking drum kicks in abundance. For example -"Neon" is less Night Slugs and more nightmare, whilst "Violent" does exactly what it says on the tin with blitzkrieg tactics all the way. "Roboshop", a collab with Balkansky, is a turbo charged sci-fi machination and "John Carpenter's Theme" switches up 4/4 dance beats with gratuitous drops and "Bass Canon" style moments.
