Review: Marc Romboy's Systematic Recordings is given an anti-up with Barcelona-based Coyu for this latest instalment of the legendary tech series. "Flus Flus" introduces the EP in industrial style, bringing forth elaborative drone injections and bizarre machine infusions, but it's "Heatwaves" featuring Cevin Fisher which opens the beats and sees Coyu produce one hell of a floor monster, complete with some of the craziest percussion we've heard in a while from Systematic. "Fabula Fabulei" is more sinister, making use of twisted chord delays to paint the picture, but "Flus Flus" is a real stand-out, where deep tribal beats meet grainy FX-influxes and minimalistic bleeps.

Review: Coyu and Lopez deliver killer tech-house for this Noir offshoot label. The title track is a rolling, bass-heavy groove; the sub-bass sounds malevolent as it underscores building chord sweeps and a stuttering, Chicago-style vocal stutter imploring the listener to 'make em clap'. It sounds like a combination of the darkest excesses of tribal house and Ron Hardy-style warehouse sleaze. As its name suggests, "Techno Raw" follows a similar trajectory, but here the sound is even heavier and the tempo higher. Rhythms roll in and provide the backdrop against which Lopez and Coyu drop a series of stomach-churning chord sequences and breakdowns.

Review: Compilation mixer Mar-T, Ramon Tapia and a host of others deliver a fair share of toolish, tribal house on Amnesia Ibiza Electronica - but that's only part of the story. The compilation also features the deranged, woozy horn sound of Betook's "Rusty Trombone"; the aggro, abrasive house of Danny Daz's "Ghetto Fab" and the excellent, shuffling 808 drums and resonating bass of Audiofly's "No Props". Techno is also catered for, with Antonio del Prete dropping a spine-tingling big room groove and Kabale Und Liebe & Lauhaus dropping a stripped back take on Alexis Carbrera's "Wherever", while the rumbling bass and detached vocals of DJ T's edit of Tensnake's "Around The House" sounds like an alternative summer anthem.
