Bjorn Torske, a legend to come out of the enigmatic Norwegian disco scene, and now Hell Yeah Recordings main selector, has been called upon to captain a flight through Hell Yeah Recordings impressive discography. With cassettes of the mixtape already sold out, this digital version - with stand alone tracks - brings together sounds of label mates like Alexander Robotnic, Max Essa, Luminodisco and the much loved Gigi Masin & Templehof collaboration. Gliding from Calm's celestial "Space Is My Place" to Crimea X's piano-driven "10PM", housier Lauer remixes or Prins Thomas Diskomiks, Torske makes himself known by threading some his own own edits (and kleggsommer dubs) to complete a fantastic voyage through the Italian label. Hell Yeah!

Review: It's been ages since we've heard from this brilliant cosmic act. Ever since their 2013 second album, Another, in fact. Well, it appears that they're back with Incubo Sintetico - an EP in which they tackle music from classic John Carpenter horror films. "Car Obsession" is a suitably moody 80s synth haunter, "Christine", from the film of the same name, is perky, accelerated Italo disco, "The Fog" is theatrical analogue synth creepiness and "Napoleon" wraps it all up in fluffy electronic cotton wool.

Review: Longstanding Italo duo Crimea X pay homage to the oft-forbidden art of ghost wooing. The result: Two Balearic-minded bliss sessions and two outstanding remixes. "Haunted Love" has a beautiful sense of development. Building up from the mournful, almost Black Strobe-like bass rumbles we're soon treated to a shimmering array of melodic textures and counter chords. "A Present" is much more direct and pounding. Nodding towards the likes of Depeche Mode but with modern Silver City twists, there's a tangible sense of psychedelia coded deep into the spiralling groove. Remix-wise Lauer adds a butt-wrigglingly sexy synth bass to "Haunted Love" while Legowelt flips "A Present" into a classic electro jam. Spookily awesome.
