Review: There's naturally much to get the juices flowing on this latest multi-artist extravaganza from Lauren "Fade" Chalmers and Paul Patterson's Of Paradise label. Entirely made up of previously unreleased fare, it's a pleasingly eclectic compilation that boasts many highlights. Check first the deep, hazy and faintly foreboding moodiness of Big Hands' 'Velenosa', before admiring the echoing, sub-heavy shuffle of Fade's 'Protocol' and the raw techno/electro fusion of Oall Hates' 'Old Lady Legal'. Arguably even more impressive is the bustling, peak-time acid psychedelia of Stratton's 'Double Happiness (Happy Daze Mix)', while Yanling's deep and dark 'Crimson' sounds like a nightmarish take on the Timedance and Livity Sound approach to UK techno. Impressive stuff all told.
