With a track list that features top names such as DJ Jackum, Clarcq, Purple Velvet Curtains, Soulecta, Gemi, Tuff Culture and more, this is a garage DJ's dream supply pack, with the sounds ranging from rampant 4x4 to wiley 2-step originals. As far as compilations go, this is a great example of how to balance the old with the new, with the GS Dubs mantra being to constantly push both types of talent forward with the same energy and expectation, making them a truly wonderful imprint.

Review: Whenever we see the killer combo of both Wang Records and DJ Jackum, we know for a fact that we are in for a treat, as these two-powerhouse outfits link up for this latest rave-ready two tracker. We open up with the slick-moving LFO manoeuvres of 'Dancing All Night', a smartly produced slice between oldschool organ melodies and more futuristic bass design, glued together by nostalgic disco stabs for a truly unique effort. On the flip, more old school garage goodness as 'Tell Me', focusses in on emotive vocal licks and pleasing melodic drifts, giving us a more mellow flip and rounding of proceedings nicely.

Review: There is no doubting the majesty of Garage Shared as an overarching titan of the new school UKG world, with their label operations being among the best in the game right now, a theme amplified and proven further by the pure magnificence of this here compilation. Being the fourth in their self-titled series, they have once again pulled together a seriously vibrant collection of artists from their ranks, unleashing a collection of 30 outstanding garage originals. The cast of this incredible performance is nothing but quality, with the likes of Soulecta, Tuff Culture, WZA, Smokey Bubblin; B, DJ Jackum, Gemi, FooR, DJQ and more all lending their hand. It's such a great way to celebrate the success of the label over the last 3 years, whilst also applauding the garage community as a whole.

Review: As Garage Shared continue to impress across the start of the year, they keep the intensity up as they launch this fabulous new four track display entitled 'Ones To Watch 2022'. From the title you can see that this is a very exciting exploration into some of the future talent the label has to offer, kicking off with the bubbling synthetic pounces and groovy drum designs of 'Astronomer' from Ben Hydro, closely followed by the quickened pace and almost 80's style soundscapes of 'Penthouse' from DJ Jackum, a name who is already attracting a lot of attention. From here, Laura Alice arrives for a burst of nostalgic energy on 'Get Up' utilizing catchy female vocal samples to give a serious groovebox, with Plipfig then unleashing a combination of grimey and mechanical energies on 'Can't Deny It', rounding off this wicked selection with a real slap.

Review: Following on from a very well received debut on Southpoint, Jackum is back at it again, this time joining forces with the leviathan sounds of Sheffield's own Strictly House And Garage imprint. This seems like a match made in heaven as we open up with the nostalgia-inducing melodies and colourful arrangements of 'All Night Long', kicking the EP off with a wicked energetic intro. Next, 'Big' takes it old school with some choppy, UKG-inspired drum beats and futuristic chord structures, followed by the powerful 4x4 feels of 'Just The Way', destined to inject a serious dosage of energy into the first dance it lands in. Finally, some future-disco flavours are brought to the forefront with 'Thank You For The Music', a clever piece of well-sampled 4x4 magic.
