Review: The founder of Northern Line Records, DJ Paleface, hands the reigns over to Xylo for his slick new piano-tinged pop-garage blinder, "Look Into My Eyes". There's also the added bonus of remixes too, three of 'em to be precise: S Dub's thumping jazzy roller, A Lister's sleek tech-step rework and Tempo Elektrik's totally huge piano-house anthemic jam.
Review: Northern Line head honcho Paleface has decided to take the reins for the label's latest missive, "Lose This Vibe". Recruiting Nyah on vocal duties Paleface provides us with two very different versions of the tune: the main mix is a slower electro-house jam, complete with suspended strings and melodic bass, and the "B-side Mix", which takes the record into more frenzied peak-time garage territory. Impressive work indeed.
Review: Has bassline ever been more influential than it is currently across the UK? I think most people would struggle to argue otherwise. To celebrate this, bassline heavyweights DJQ, Jamie Duggan, Skepsis and Darkzy join forces for an allstar compilation album, including a selection of full tracks and exclusive mixes. The full project includes exclusive drops from the likes of Champion, Shanti, DJQ, Flava D, TQD, Preditah, Bushbaby, Darkzy, Bru-C and many more. You are going to struggle to find a more comprehensive bassline selection this year!
