Review: Now this next drop from the Time Is Now team is somewhat unexpected as they launch themselves head first into the niche sound of UK bassline, unleashing a raucous display of 4x4 fire from DJ Pantha. We kick off with the lively title track 'Bun & Cheese', a sumptuous selection of dizzying synthesizer pulses and high energy drum skips, before 'Dem A Talk' welcomes Cubzy inside for an additional guest vocal, adding the top layer to the gnarly synth skips below. Finally, 'Cant Beat Da Farda' gives us a super powerful outro, again welcoming guest coals as Rikki Tuff jumps on board with some melodic toasting, this time providing the final touches across an apocalyptic display of bass drives and clever drum arrangements. This whole EP packs a serious punch to say the least!

Review: With a serious history in the UK underground, it's exciting to see the legendary DJ Pantha touching down on Time Is Now for an exploration into his own back catalogue as we take in 'The 140 Archives'. We begin with the chirping violin sweeps and lively LFO triplets of 'Hurry The Fuck Up', a proper throwback original, before the more uncooth synthetic madness of 'Duddley Riddim' is then unleashed to up the energy levels rapidly. From here, 'Vibez' takes us down a different direction as crunchy tripletted drum rhythms play a lead role atop eerie string sets throughout, before more wobbly abandon arrives in the form of 'Blackberry Riddim'. We then take in the sweeping synthesiser melodies and alarm-ridden backdrops of 'Protein Shake', taking us right back to the early days of grime & bassline fusion, before an experimental send off in 'Four By Niche' sees the project draw to a close. This is a project for the ages for sure!

Review: Following on from a wavy drop with Project Allout last year, the legendary Sheffield imprint welcomes back the sounds of DJ Pantha for a fully fleshed out project, jam packed with original niche goodness. Firstly, 'Bristol Riddim' combines classic 4x4 bassline designs with highly energetic drum skips for a high impact intro, followed by more dancefloor ready brilliance in 'Dudley Riddim'. The third tracks runs with a title that you can see for yourself is likely to cause a few heads to turn, again playing on classic bassline themes with some beefy production behind it, before 'Twat Dub' once again ups the pace for a fiery finale. This is a rave ready selection that we can't wait to hear in the dance.
