Review: DJ Phlowgod is a new addition to Greece's sublime Echovolt Records, but we're already highly seeded by his dusty, improvisational take on house music. The opener "Downtown" is an excellent bundle of rolling drums and wavy melodies, "Black Roses" continues the trend but ups the tempo and gets even grittier on the percussion, while "Cursed Fate" is so rough that it sounds like it might just fall apart. "MAS" is the placid cousin of the lot - still full of energy and grit, though - and "Anthem" is the deep house equivalent, while "Three" sounds like a cross between Levon Vinvent and Terekke. Comparisons aside, though, this is an excellent and highly recommended EP - KILLER.
