Review: For the latest missive on his Afroterraneo Music label, Kiko Navarro has joined forces with two Italian legends of the Balearic and Afro-cosmic scenes, DJ Pippi and Willie Graff. The resultant EP is as atmospheric, alluring and subtly dubbed-out as you'd expect, with tons of layered African style percussion. They begin with the deep and tribal-tinged tactility of 'N'Fumbei', where woozy pads, dub disco bass, warehouse-ready synth riffs and West African vocal snippets cluster around heavy drums. 'Esanah' sees them pair a tough Afro-house beat with rising and falling keyboard motifs, while 'N'Fumbeats' is a thrillingly percussive DJ tool that shows off the quality and intensity of the beats underpinning 'N'Fumbei'.

Review: Kenneth Bager's Music For Dreams brings in the summer season perfectly with this debut LP from Ibiza stalwarts DJ Pippi & Willie Graff. As the Danish imprint' best stated themselves, the duo have had 'a long and fruitful relationship with the White Isle' and this splendid 12-track affair wonderfully showcases the many facets of the Balearic sound. The slo-mo seduction of "Piel A Piel" featuring Jacob Gurevitsch and vocalist Charlotte Caluwaerts opens the album on a perfect note, with other highlights including the sultry mood music of "Art Of Sax", the flamenco-inflected sunset soundtrack of "Volver" (feat Paco Fernandez) and the emotive deep house closer "Suenos" - a tribute to the late, great island favourite Jose Padilla.

Review: If the coldness of a European winter is getting you down, we'd heartily recommend this dose of aural sunshine from regular collaborators DJ Pippi and Willie Graff, who this time round have also been joined in the studio ny Jacob Gurevitsch and Charlotte C. 'Piel a Piel', which is available in edited and full-length mix forms, is an undeniably Balearic affair that features plenty of subtle nods to classic cuts (the drums were clearly inspired by the great Tullio De Piscopo, the Spanish guitars are pure Jose Padilla and the snaking saxophone lines will make even the most cynical listener weak at the knees), as well as sun-soaked jazz guitar solos, rubbery bass, warming new age synthesizer chords and sone deliciously sleazy, largely whispered or spoken vocals.

Review: Both veterans of The White Isle, Italy's DJ Pippi and native Ibizan Willie Graff found time between sundown sets to make music together in the former's home studio. The result is their debut on Leng with a typically warm and woozy collection of cuts entitled the "Lunares EP" - named after the Spanish word for polka dots. Features the low lung balearic funk of the title track, the sensual beachside slow burner that is "Island Visitors" with its neon-lit Italo flourishes, as well as the fittingly named "Saxolicious" which goes down a loungey and jazzy early '00s deep house route that's reminiscent of Atjazz. Balmy tunes that are perfect for the summer season.

Review: Music for Dreams, the label founded by Kenneth Bager, sets out its stall for the 2019 summer season. It's no surprise that Copenhagen 2019 is a chilled out, unhurried affair. Starting with easy listening pieces from Mike Salta and Phil Mison - the latter's acoustic guitar-led "Morning Lights" is particularly memorable - it moves into low-slung disco courte-sy of the Cheapedits take on Copenema & Thomas Volmer Schulz's "Serei Sei" and the MOR-esque guitar on Rayet's "Marie-Ange" It's sometimes a challenge for chill out compilations not to veer into the wallpaper music category, but Music For Dreams avoids this conundrum with Kojo Antwi's Afro-funk and Djosos Krost's wonderfully dubbed out "That's My Woman".

Review: A true pioneer DJ in the Balearic Islands and one of the legendary founders of Ibiza house music culture, Italian Giuseppe Nuzzo aka DJ Pippi remains a world class DJ. As well as being a resident at the island's premier club Pacha, he's also a producer, remixer and label boss of Aluminium Records. His 2016 track "Mr P" gets the remix treatment by Istanbul's Islandman - giving the track a dub-reggae tinged, sun-kissed and lo-slung treatment that's perfect for sipping pina coladas and people watching at Cafe Mambo. The Turkish sound magician in actual fact presents a couple of other remixes from Bager & Co.'s back catalogue: label staple Troels Hammer's "The Singing Clouds" gets the deep tribal rain dance vibe while Jose Manuel's "Babylon" (feat Bababar Dieng) features a splendid and hypnotic Afro vibe that's perfect for drifting.

Review: In 2015 DJ Harvey made his hugely anticipated return to Ibiza and made Pikes the home for his Mercury Rising debut, a concept inspired by the beauty of the real Ibiza, the incredible history of the hotel (aka The Chelsea of Ibiza) and a genuine love for music. This Balearic spirit perfectly and poetically encapsulated by DJ Harvey has seen Mercury Rising widely recognised as the most special night to embrace the island in over a decade. The next step in the story sees him launch Pikes Records - the first record label founded by Pikes owners and Ibiza Rocks co-founders Andy McKay and Dawn Hindle. From his own Locussolus project's slow burner "Next To You" (Marcy Rising edit), to fellow London disco heroes Idjut Boys who serve up "One For Kenny" where they get really deep. There's also party favourite Gatto Fritto with "Invisible College" and Eric 'Dr. Dunks' Duncan, on form as always, with Chris Munoz on the scorcher "Zona De Perigo".
