Mosquitos (Bird Of Paradise remix) - (6:00) 118 BPM
No Future (Gameboyz remix) - (5:58) 116 BPM
Review: Kyo has released music on labels as diverse as Giallo Disco, Drumpoet Community and Bordello A Parigi - and on his latest release, he defies expectations again. As the title suggests, the material is steeped in the hum and fizzle of hardware experiments; the stepping rhythm of "Mosquitos" resounds to an insistent electronic buzzing that replicates the sound of those most unwanted insects. On "No Future", he puts his focus on an ebm-influenced approach. The bass lurches and rumbles and horror synths rise up through the arrangement to reach a squeaky, acid-soaked finale. The Birds of Paradise take on "Mosquitos' pushes it into a straighter and more linear, grating groove, while on Gameboyz version of "No Future", a ravey break beat sound prevails

Wrong Way - (5:56) 120 BPM
Review: Valencia's Daniel Kyo is a well respected artist in the underground electronica scene, with over fifty pieces of work released since producing from only seventeen years old and having lived surrounded by music from an early age. He arrives next on the Dutch Bordello A Parigi imprint with four tracks showcasing his hometown's synthesizer traditions. "Evanescence" is a coldwave/synthpop journey for eyeliner and fishnet clad new romantics while the classic groove of "Echoman" calls to mind the early EBM of Front 242. Finally "Wrong Way" does neon-lit retro house in fine fashion and in a similar way to the likes of Tuff City Kids. An EP of electronic elegance and robust proportions.

No Answers (Nhar remix) - (7:19) 115 BPM Hot

After A Weird Night (Switchst (d)ance remix) - (6:10) 120 BPM
After A Weird Night (Undo remix) - (5:33) 120 BPM
Review: Superbly crafted slinky tech house on offer here from Barcelona's Factor City, this time courtesy of Valencia's Daniel Kyo. On the original version of "No Answers" he delivers a funky vocal led groove that will have as many girls as there are boys on the dancefloor. Nahr's remix is equally impressive; a perfect crossover of nu-disco groove and electrofunk aesthetics. "After A Weird Night" is a dark atmospheric journey in all its sinister sci-fi glory and perfect to use as your opening track. It gets the remix treatment too, twice in fact. Lisbon's Switchst(d)ance gives it an impressive retro cosmic vibe while label mainstay Undo's version gets on the straight up electro tip.

Electricity EP
Electricity (original mix) - (6:33) 113 BPM Hot
No Regret (original mix) - (6:43) 110 BPM
Electricity (Antoni Maiovvi's Mainframe Interceptor mix) - (7:38) 116 BPM
No Regret (DC Salas mix) - (6:41) 115 BPM
Electricity (Dimitri Viemar mix) - (6:28) 119 BPM
Review: The electroclash revival starts here and Tronik Youth isn't afraid to jump on board, signing Daniel Kyo and his depressed electro-pop gem, "Electricity". If the latter sounds like it could be found on Tiga's seminal Mixed Emotions mix CD, digital B-side "No Regret" sounds like John Carpenter guest-soundtracking Miami Vice, also taken it into lo-fi arpeggiated electro-disco territory. Legendary EBM raconteur, Anton Maiovvi, delivers a deep and bleepy, electro-disco re-rub of the title track which also gets turned into angelic floaty house by Dimitri Viemar. Another strong release from Nein.
