Review: Dany Rodriguez is a Belgian DJ and producer with a back catalogue that includes releases on fellow countryman Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics. On Galaxies Compared, his debut album, it sounds like Rodriguez is channeling the energy and spirit of Jeff Mills rather than the party techno of Bailey's label. The album starts with a series of atmospheric, widescreen techno tracks before the title track heralds the introduction of lithe electro beats. Rodriguez finally moves closer to conventional club techno with "Landscapes" and the tougher "Pluton" - which is underpinned by steely rhythms that recall vintage Stacey Pullen. However, in the main this represents the more soulful end of the sound, audible on the spacey grooves of "Elium" and "Labyrinth".
