Review: The Corner has been on a sabbatical for almost 18 months, but the New York label picks up where it left off with Busted. The work of Chicago act Dar Embarks, who are known for their use of hardware and drum machines, it gets off to a ferocious start with the drum-heavy rhythms and grimy frequencies of "Screen Death". A different approach is audible on "Dimethyltryptamine", where Dar Embarks use lo-fi, swinging drums to underpin waves of analogue textures. However, it's only a temporary diversion and soon enough, the intensity levels and tempo rise again on the dense, fist pumping "Fezzik", while "Venkman" is a steely analogue workout of the highest order.
