Review: S-File brings together some of the highlights from the GND catalogue for this diverse but universally dance floor-focused compilation. Mark Broom's dense version of David Caretta's "Vicious Game" and S-File's own sample heavy, party-ready "Shelter" provide a high-octane start to the release, while Uncertain and Buitrago's contributions introduce some house flavours to the compilation. Marcal's "It Doesn't Resemble" sees the intensity levels ramp up a few notches thanks to its ominous bass and rattling percussion, while in contrast the stripped back "Dxd 2.0" from Deadwalkman & Deraout contains echoes of 90s minimalism in its repetitive tones and sharp, metallic claps.

Review: The Hacker celebrates ten-plus years of his Zone imprint by delivering a first label compilation: Interzone. Take a skim over the tracklist and there's a wealth of talent on display, and following intro duties given to the honorable Miss Kitten, the likes of In Aeternam Vale, Jenson Interceptor, Gessafelstein and Alessandro Adriani all feature alongside Cardopusher, The Populists and DJ Hell. For further intrigue, Marseille synth punk David Carretta drops in with "Nuit Panic" - alongside his "Moskow Reise" counterpart Millimetric - unknown entity Hyperstellar, and fellow electro buff, Maelstrom. With extra licks coming from Commuter's "Flash Burst" and Djedjotronic's "Zonorama" - exterminate all rational thought and enter Interzone.

Review: David Carretta, the pride of Marseille, is back on our charts through the GND imprint and it's clear that the French tech producer is up for it and down with the vibe. "Machines Invasion" is a relentless techno bruiser that carries mounds of bass and atmospherics to end up with a heavy, box to box bullet intended purely for dance floor destruction. The Turbo Turbo remix takes a sinister spin on the original, and comes through with a dark, ominous techno wormhole that reminds us of Blawan's early material. Bombs!

Review: Following their epic "Crash" and "Electronic Warfare" packages, Carretta and Workerpoor team up and don their robovox suits once again. "Intruders" is reminiscent of LFO back in their most incendiary form, all hooky, paranoid and pummelling. "Believe The Machine" is darker again; with screaming siren leads and face-tugging warped bass slurs, it stomps with spiky techno tenacity. Essential - especially if you've been enjoying Neosignal's output this year.

Review: Wouldn't it be really cool if David Carretta and David Guetta had a fight? They're both French, they're both called David; let's make this happen! Or, alternatively, we could just get freaky to this proper heads down nostalgia session from Carretta and his co-pilot Workpoor. Yeah, that's probably a better pastime. Especially as these tracks are pretty monstrous! "1991" is effectively a time machine, whisking back to dodgy warehouses, even dodgier haircuts and simple-but-massively-effective acid house. "Body Control" is on a similar flex but with added hardcore stabs, a tearing bassline and wondrous 8-bit stabs. That leaves us time for just one more darkroom retrospective; "Electronic Warfare" drops the tempo and ups the acid for real toothgrinder of a wig out. See those lasers? Reach for them. Now!
