Review: Located in a forest outside Jena, Muna is one of the longest-established clubs in Germany, and is approaching a quarter of a century in business. Its label arm is much younger, but is doing a fine job in representing the Muna sound to the wider house music community. Cassy's "Running" is a rolling, bass-heavy track, featuring melodramatic vocals and rasping percussion. By contrast, Andre Butano & Aldo Cadiz' "Consommer" is more full on, with doubled-up beats and a groovy, rolling rhythm supporting druggy vocals. Shifting styles again, David Mayer, the Keinemusik founder, delivers "Moonlock", a pulsating, electronic groove, while Alejandro Mosso closes out this soundtrack to one of Europe's most revered clubs with the quirky deep house of "Rayuela".

Review: With this fine four-tracker, Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan welcome Mobilee and Connected regular David Mayer to their Ouie label for the very first time. Mayer begins in confident fashion with "The Call", a percussively dense but rhythmically loose workout rich in wonky chants, ethnic instrumentation and bubbly electronics, before smothering bouncy Afro-house drums in blissful tropical electronics on sublime shuffler "Sooner". "Black Queen" is, if anything, even more percussive - if a little moodier thanks to the presence of some Innervisions-esque chords and melodies - while closer "The Girl With No Name" is breezy, deep and picturesque, with plenty of South American hand percussion floating in and out of the mix.

Review: Watergate Affairs is a brand new music series from the Berlin superclub. Music will be featured by residents or regulars who have become closely affiliated with the club over the recent years. Moreover, these handpicked artists will "perfectly display the sound of Watergate". First up is Zurich's Jimi Jules who presents us with the dark journey track "1.6%" with that buzzy, wonky synth lead and mysterious atmosphere: Life & Death eat your heart out. Berlin legend Lee Jones, the British ex-pat who you may remember for his collaboration with Nick Hoppner as My My is back with "Fraction Disco (Metro edit)" a sexy and bouncy tech house workout that is guaranteed for hands in the air moments. But it's their most well known resident La Fleur who really impresses with "Waves" where the Swede gives us a driving and emotional journey track with a humming sub bass and tight rhythm that you could imagine setting off a frenzy at peak time on that killer sound system.

Burn vs Helios (Eduardo De La Calle Deconstruction remix) - (6:19) 126 BPM
from $1.96
Review: Ibiza via Leeds imprint Gruuv is celebrating five years in explosive fashion and proceedings are not coming to a halt any time soon! David Mayer & Nght Drps get together for some peak time deep house that just reeks of summertime on the island. "Burn" is all about big time, main room groove and reliably so. "Helios" is the real highlight here; a druggy, proggy and atmospheric workout reminiscent of Stephan Bodzin. Finally, and in total curveball fashion, Spanish legend Eduardo de la Calle, he of Analog Solutions does what he does best in deconstructing and reconstructing the loops of both aforementioned tracks on "Burn Vs Helios" giving it his trademark tunnelling hypnotic techno treatment.

Adam Port & Stereo MCs - "Place" - (9:35) 123 BPM Biggest-selling track on this release
from $1.96
Review: This Berlin-based label celebrates its twenty-fifth release with a collection of tracks from its regular artists. Rampa's "Mod" is a classic serving of minimal German house, its tinny drums and percussive shards riding a buzzing bass, while David Mayer's "Smoke" follows a similar trajectory. On this occasion however, the dense, drummy framework is populated by woozy chords, subtle ticks and twists and the kind of dazed stutter that used to characterize old Grant Dell records. &ME's "Birdland" is a jazzier affair, and the final track makes for a real surprise; Adam Port teams up with '90s UK hip hop act Stereo MCs for a deep house groove full of the rapper's sultry, smoky vocals.
