Review: Once again the Innamind team have brought a tasty treat to the table, welcoming the irresistible sounds and textures of DE-TU, one of the most consistent dubstep heavyweights out right now! He unloads three absolute weapons here, beginning with the creeping low-end manoeuvres and groovy dubstep struts of 'Head Top', giving us a box of attitude right from the jump. Next, the uber-wonky crunches of 'Kingdom' send us down an entirely different avenue of abstraction, doused in drippy percussive designs. Finally 'V Dub' closes the project out, winding its way through heavily syncopated drum delays and hard hitting LFO processing, giving us a final dash of finesse to close things off with. Awesome!

Congi - "Tides" - (3:47) 105 BPM
Review: Up until now, Zha's White Peach imprint have always found a way to up the levels on each release that lands. They have achieved this once as again as the incredible combination of De-Tu & Congi land for a momentous four track display of steppers excellence. We begin with 'Off My Chest', a quirky, choppy roller, graced with an intense vocal line that just elevates the track to legendary levels, followed by the much more stripped back and slower tempos of 'Shallow Waters', showcasing the pairs musicality as much as anything. The pair then roll out solo as De-Tu firstly delivers a more classic sounding steppers roller next on 'When Will We', matched by 'Tides', Congi's grizzly exploration through super-syncopated rhythms and organic percussion. Lovely stuff!

Fruitcake
Fruitcake - (5:41) 140 BPM Hot
Wicked Skank - (4:17) 140 BPM
Secrets - (5:17) 140 BPM
Review: Infernal Sounds have most certainly been on a pretty killer run so far this year, seeing the likes of Taiko & Saule grace the imprint in recent times. Their latest drop sees the magnificent De-Tu deliver a three track bonanza, kicking off with the spacy, dub-infused chords and system rattling basslines of 'Fruitcake', a potent title track indeed. Next, 'Wicked Skank' delivers more syncopated chords with an incredibly hard hitting warbling lead, again delivering a tonne of weight to the low end. Finally, the crunchy percussion and eerie atmospheric patterns of 'Secrets' gives us a final tad of variation to round off another top quality body of work from the Infernal Sounds camp.

Review: We are always excited to see a new offering from Innamind Recordings, who here invite the futuristic production stylings of DE-TU inside for two tracks of pure steppers power. We begin with a look at the eerie nature of 'Stay Low', which applies a dark and demonic vocal line with spooky atmospheric pad layers and sharp drum switches with fantastic results. On the flip side we also take in 'Come To Play', an incredibly potent original roller, driven by warbling sub textures and a spacey vibe which runs throughout the composition, providing an excellent contrast between the two tracks.
