Review: Decrypt has delivered a real treat with this latest collection of original rollers, coming to us courtesy of OnlyDrums, who have undoubtedly unearthed a gem here. First up, 'Take Me Away' combines gnarly bass drones and punchy drums for a fiery introduction, followed by both the catchy bitcrushed warbles of 'Murda U', and heavily distorted bass notation of 'Box Ya Head Off' alongside 10AD. Next up, another collaboration as Alphaze brings some additional sauce to the grizzly horns of 'Bubblegum', which is followed by both the ear-creaking 8 bit synths of 'Cherish' and system-mashing bass crunches of 'Self Destruct' to close us off.

Review: The Good 4 Nothing crew are back inside, kicking off 2024 in the best way possible as they unveil this explosive new compilation series, exploring some of the most raucous arenas of dark drum & bass. Featuring a fiery 13 original creations, we see a highly skilled collection of soundsmiths join the cause, with the likes of Foe, Decrypt, DJ Twista, Filthy Habits, and more landing with some sizzling original fire. From the moody synth dives of Lundy's 'The Curse' and the system-curling sub-work of 'Get You' from Hijacker, we can see very quickly this whole compilation is armed and ready for combat. Our initial standouts would have to include the wonky LFO slides of Breakout's 'Fine Idea', next to the mind-melting unpredictability of Error & GinX's 'Smoked'. A must-have for any DJ preparing for a ruckus.

Review: What a cracking year 2023 has been for the OnlyDrums collective. Wallop after wallop, smash after smash, every release from the label has been check-on-sight and this VA of brand new originals is definitely no exception. Representing the new-gen to the max, cuts like NTG & Masson's high voltage 'Last Vice', Decrypt's addictive low-slung mischief-maker 'Everything I Do' and the wild rasping laser bass of Zootie & Masimba's brilliantly titled 'Daddy's Got A Gun' all fire with a fresh unruly energy and that's barely scratching the surface of this exceptional collection. We can't wait to see what OnlyDrums bring in 2024!

Review: What a wild trip it's been for Audiofelonz so far. Only going legit as a label in July, the label have been dropping monthly dispatches of utter gulliness from some of the most exciting rising stars of UK jump-up now arriving at a convenient six-monthly moment of remix reflection courtesy of Jay Jay and Decrypt. Both versions absolutely kill it, too... Jay Jay takes Foe's 'Jungle Sound' and flips the bassline into a bright and aggy attack of the senses. Decrypt, meanwhile, takes Kensei & Foe's 'Forsaken' and gives it an early 2000s style bounce. Bring on the next six months!

Review: Released 18 months ago, Decrypt returns to his monstrous "Too Dutty" and gives it a serious VIP lick of paint. Big reeces, cut throat breaks and a drop into the springiest of riffs, it's a hurricane of savagery hurtling at you at a speed of 174BPM. Need even more drama? Get busy with Smuggler's remix. Barking basslines and swooping strings on the breakdown, this really is so dutty you need a wash after dropping it.

Review: OnlyDrums link up with Decrypt once again for some codebreaking carnage. Six cuts in total, with cameos from MC Mookz, Jhitzu and 10AD along the way, it's another grot parade as Decrypt gets mucky with the bass designs and stark, minimal grooves. Highlights include the groaning graveyard funk of 'No Way Out' (with 10AD), the super buzzy Hexa-style bassline revs of 'I Wanna Know' and the savage, 2012-style bouncey bassline title track 'Blacked Out'. Heavy.

Review: It's been a while since Good 4 Nothing treated us all to one of their disgusting Horrible VA EPs but they're making up for lost time with this savage seven-track serenade of pure sickness. Each cut right at the forefront of the D&B sound, smashing down the boundaries between subgenres, highlights include the walloping early 2000s Bristol feel of Decrypt's 'Check This Out', the wild springy sensation and killer bounce of DJ Twista's 'Business & Ting' and the clattering energy and bone shattering vibe of Pruf's 'Hide'. Horrible indeed.

Review: Barely six months have passed since Decrypt told us all to 'Shut Up' on OnlyDrums but here he returns and he's rolling deep in big company as Jhitzu, Jay Jay, Inforce, Froidy and Sterxy all jump aboard to form some type of hench gully gang. Flavours range from savagely spicy to absolute fire as we're pushed and shoved from vibe to vibe. Review: We've barely recovered from Froidy's 'Blunts & Booze' headbutt earlier this month and now he's back with this heavyweight two-tracker. 'Wrong Move' is a perilous jump-up freak-out comprised of pure sheet metal dynamics and aggy, venomous energy while 'Alone' sees the Friody one linking with Decrypt for more of a high frequency shock-out. High energy business with full focus on the dancefloor. Total carnage.

Review: Finally some motivational advice we could all benefit from: Decrypt slams down on OnlyDrums with the words everyone needs to hear from time to time - 'Shut Up'. The message is delivered with 10AD over a heavyweight Dominator-style beat and it's backed up by more equally powerful and forthright heat. Highlights include 'Too Dutty', an almighty headbutt of a tune similar to late 2000s Original Sin, 'Time To Choose', a spiky game of trippy Q&A bassline stabs, and the cranium-aiming 'Headshot'. Stay schtum and listen.

Review: Liondub's wicked Street Series continues in full force and this next instalment is courtesy of Decrypt, a producer who comes with some serious heat on this one. All five of these cuts mean business and our favourites are the steppy bits, 'Make My Day' especially, which combines apocalyptic vibes with urban sonics to create a powerful patchwork of force and energy, all underpinned by a broken percussive line. The other four are also strong and we're definitely looking forward to hearing these out and about.

Review: The Dropzone Audio team are at this point synonymous with putting together highly energetic D&B drops, with this new two track remix project being a perfect example of that as Rodeo has two of his heavy hitters sent to the slicer. We begin with 'Dimmer Switch' which is put through its paces by Skudkid, deploying gnarly electronic lead melodies and a colourful array of percussive jossles below for a serious system buster. On the flip Decrypt's grizzly rethink of 'Danger Time' sees a much more choppy approach come into play as a sharp lead synth piledrivers through the mix with some rave-ready energy. Powerful stuff indeed!

Review: Who are the Dropzquad? We're not entirely sure, to be honest, but we assume that this release is a summary of their music. Featuring DJ Gaw, Decrypt, Phenom and LDT & Shock, it's a showcase of the Dropzone sound and we're definitely into it. 'Angery' is our personal highlight, with an endearing movie sample over the intro but a moody, vibrant back end that shudders and groans as it rotates on itself. This one is a proper roller and the rest of the EP carries on the charge with pure-blooded cuts left right and centre. Choonage.

Review: The Audio Massacre crew are back in town and they have an offering, courtesy of Decrypt. It's a fiery, no-nonsense release that sits in the familiar vein of Souped Up influenced music, with catchy hooks and the urban-edged knack that only jump-up D&B has. 'Feel' is our favourite, with a punching, pitched-down back end that pulses and sways alongside its percussive cousin and to great effect - this one would go down well on any UK dancefloor. The rest of the release is equally slick - Audio Massacre have killed it indeed.

Review: Wave your bockchains in the air like you just don't care! Rough Tempo's Decrypt is here and the currency is funky, infectious, wobbled-out riff-heavy jump-up. "Greezeball" is the bounciest cut of the bunch; one of those tracks that pings up any mix scenario when dropped into the blend. Elsewhere "Whispering Eye" takes a touch of sci-fi in the textures and builds with some gnarly momentum mid-way, the VIP of "Run Tune" flips and wriggles with an intoxicating Q&A and "Oh Yeah" closes the show with some brilliant reverse squelch mischief. Greeze lightning.
