Every Welcome To The Jungle collection is a big deal but this latest edition from Euphonique and Dazee is a whole other rain forest. 96 tracks and a mix that weighs in over two hours, this is the sound of two of the most foremost and inspiring Bristol-based DJs going IN in every single direction. Loaded with a great range of classics, exclusives and left-of-centre vibes, highlights across this massive collection include Aries and Euphonique's massive 'Amen', Dazee & Jinx's 'Shake It Up', Sweetpea and Chickaboo's 'The Jump Off' and the recent skat-dancing fire-up 'Skip De Du Dat'. And that's not scratching the surface. This is an epic collection. Essential.

Review: Liondub and Deekline together on one album... It was only a matter of time. Both serial collaborators, both super prolific, both running heavyweight labels with releases firing off in all directions, both true to the original breakbeat craft, here we find them colliding on 'Welcome To The Jungle'. This is just a teaser: 'Rule The Dance' pays homage to Gorillaz with its infectious hook and dreamy vocals from Christina Nicola. 'Dream Of You' has more of a bubbly Urban Takeover type of vibe with its cheeky horns and funky fills. Finally 'Ride Pon It' sees the NYC/LDN duo flip last year's banger between Deekline, Specimen A and the inimitable Warrior Queen with gully results. Bring on the full album!
Review: What a collection we have here, as two legends of the game in Deekline and Specimen A return to Jungle Cakes to oversee a powerful remix collection of their 'Get Lucky' project. Featuring 10 hard hitting recreations, we see the likes of Kiwa, Scuffed, Exult, Nick The Lot and more get involved with a colourful collection of rave-ready remixes, all jam-packed with original jungle flavour. The introductory sounds of the L-Side overhaul of 'Duppy Destroyers' sets the tone nicely as warbling subs are let loose to fly in many directions, with this energy being replicated on Rise's rework of 'Mosh Pit' with Killa P & Ivory, alongside Danger Marc's wicked rethink of 'Run The Dancehall' with Deemas J. The whole project is dripping in rave-ready energy, with numerous overhauls of 'Duppy Destroyers' playing the major role, with additional reworks including Papa G's rethink and an original VIP to match. Incredible stuff!
Review: What a monsterous collection of creations we have here as we explore the full range of breakbeat influences, from slower, more clunky original creations, to garage inspired rollers and everything in-between. The sheer mass of this collection is one of it's immediate charms as we are gifted over 50 originals and remixes, each one bringing something unique to the table from a supporting cast including the likes of Origin8a & Propa, Benton, MKII, Deekline, Samurai Breaks and more. The constant changes of direction and expansionary sense of sonic inclusion are both big yesses from us, with our favourites including 9Trane's nostalgic bubbler 'Thuggish', next to the housey piano drives of Herve's 'Live Together' and the old school garage flavour of Matt Jam Lamont, Echelon & Tuff Culture, who join focus for 'Massive & Crew'. Tidy work indeed!
