Review: Following a run of releases on The Underground Chronicles, Deepear returns to Gemini Wax after almost two years. There are no alternative takes or revisions, just a trio of tried-and-tested original productions from the talented Italian producer. Title track 'Relive' is particularly potent, with Deepear adding drowsy chords, sampled vocal snippets and spacey synth flourishes to a loose-limbed groove rich in skippy US garage drums and deep analogue bass. 'Italo2' sees him brilliantly re-imagine organ-rich early '90s Italo-house for the 21st century, while 'Believing' is an electric piano-sporting chunk of rolling deep house dreaminess.
